Chariots and weapons were associated with hunting and warfare in the ancient world. Those bronze fittings with lavish inlaid decoration were status symbols of rulers and high-ranking officials. <br><br>This finial combines extravagance and ferocious beauty to reveal the aesthetics of the time.
